A new school year at Steinerskolen Gjøvik-Toten!
It was so great seing everyone again, both colleagues, old and new students! For me this first week began with nine wonderful 4th graders starting to learn to play the violine! At our school, the children start learning the violin in the 4th grade. The other subject I teach lasts the entire elementary school from kindergarten to 10th grade, - a wonderful interdisciplinary movement subject that aims to strengthen social skills, belonging, body control, sense of space, identity and inner growth. This subject is called eurythmy and is one of the cornerstone subjects in the Waldorf School education. What a fantastic place and school we have here by the lake! I'm really looking forward to a new year with you all!
