MARTINE KRAFT
Martine Kraft is an acclaimed Norwegian artist and composer, combining her traditional nordic sounds with raw power and haunting, dreamlike soundscapes.
As well as being a virtuoso on the hardingfiddle, she is a talented composer with a unique voice.
Martine has released 6 albums and registered about 300 compositions in TONO.
She has been granted schollarships for professional artists and supported by Innovation Norway to create the folkloristic world Spirits from Norway.
In 2013 the national fund for Hardanger fiddles (The Hardanger fiddle is the national instrument of Norway) made Martine an ambassador and she was rewarded with a signature Martine Kraft Hardanger fiddle.

She is now working with the album "Bridging Worlds - one song at a time". the first album of IWASHERE.

THE BAND
Martine Kraft Band was established in 2006 with Nils Jørgen Nygaard, Freddy Wike, Dag Stokke and Jan Tore Øverstad. Some great musicians have joined her on stage through the years and from 2011 Martine Kraft Band is Nils Jørgen Nygaard, Stig Enger, Jon Karlsen and Freddy Wike.

Guitar/Keyboard
Guitarist and keyboard player that has followed Martine as her orchestral leader and producer for a decade. Most arrangements starts with Nils Jørgen and he is an important force in Martines soundscape. He is also part of the Enger Studio “collective” and he contributes on several of their productions.
Stig Enger
El-guitar
Guitar player with a unique sonic talent. He also works as a producer and sound engineer in his own Enger Studio. He has co-produced and engineered most of Martines material. Stig is also a songwriter and has had the privilege to work with many important musicians.
Jon Karlsen
Bass
Jon masters a broad scale of genres and uses the whole range of his instrument in an elegant manner, full of energy. He plays several instruments and is a great contribution while arranging and composing new material. Jon is an important part of Enger Studio
Freddy Wike
Drums
Drummer and soulful engine. His playful and dynamic style has brought him to many exciting scenes. Freddy is a musical and creative drummer that suits Martines music perfectly with his sophisticated approach.
